Online or bricks and mortar.

More generally, what features should I be looking for, and what's a fair price for a full size mattress and box spring?

We got ours at Matress Firm. 0% interest Financing on our Tempur Pedic (Which btw, I HIGHLY recommend). Just be sure to have the matress paid off in the 1.5 yr they give you and don't be late paying, or you'll regret it.

Something to note

If you buy it from the store you have to worry about transportation, including bringing it back if you don't like it

If you buy it online and don't like it, they'll come and pick it up.

At least, that's how it was when I bought mine.

Just make sure you haggle. Furniture/mattress is alway negotiable as the mark up is huge. A good place to start would be 50% of their asking price.

just make sure you are comfortable with the mattress you get. my wife and i picked up a pillowtop mattress for her school apartment thinking hey, we'll give this pillowtop thing a go... NUH UH. we are returning it for one like our old one - a firmer "tight top" Sealy Posturepedic. i never knew how much we liked the firmness of our old mattress until spending a couple nights on the new style.

"What size and what's your budget?"

Full size, and want both mattress and box spring.

As for budget, don't know what you have to pay to get a quality, comfortable mattress/box spring (doesn't have to be best)?

W Hotels mattresses

If you look around and search some of the deal sites, you might be able to find a 40% off code for W Hotel employees.

I'm currently debating on whether I should replace my current King bed with this one.
