I've used Kinguin.net in the past, never got a invalid code for Steam or PSN

Amazon has digital codes for sale also

I've got a ton of games through Humble Bundles.

EDIT: Also, you can occasionally score good discounts on PC codes-in-boxes on places like Amazon, if you time it right.

I check GOG first, as they dont have much, I next move to Steam.
Still havent purchased anything from Origin or Uplay, but since so many Steam games require it, I end up having to use them. I truly dislike multiple layers of DRM. Wish Steam would not allow it. Wish they'd refuse to sell games that include their own DRM and force publishers to stop that nonsense.

But what I want and what is are two different things.

Steam, humble bundle, Gog... I used to use Origin for what's only available there, but the direction EA has been going has turned me off to their exclusive games recently.

I use Amazon for release day purchases since they offer 20% off. Rest I usually wait for a steam sale or humble bundle.

Whatever's cheapest out of steam, origin, uplay, gog, gmg and amazon. Most of the time it's either steam or gmg though I've been getting more console games from amazon recently since they offer 20% off on preorders. On the rare occasion I'll still drop by the local gamestop with the kids. There's still something special about taking your kids to a video game store.

Almost entirely Steam and Origin. The outsiders are directly distributed games like World of Tanks.

Steam. Uplay and Origin can go kick rocks. So too can battlenet for that matter.

I'll just continue to play CS:S and Minecraft.

Oh yeah, I forgot. The last time I purchased a disc was for Starcraft II. Then I saw all the BS involved with making and using a BattleNet account. Now I dont bother with Blizzard games anymore. Even if they made Lost Vikings 3 I wouldnt touch it again.

I mostly use Steam, Humble Bundle, GOG, and on occasional Bundle Stars (which recently changed it's name). A few months ago I installed a browser extension that checks prices with other sites when I go to Steam so maybe I'll be trying other storefronts out. But they have to launch through steam or GOG for me to buy it.

Games might launch via uPlay or Origin but I have never and will never buy from their stores.

G2A almost exclusively, ive also used kinguin in the past with great success. Ive never not gotten a key from those sites, also I used to buy them on steam when they actually had good sales on good games.

cdkeys often has deluxe editions for less than the base game costs elsewhere so I keep an eye on them if I'm looking for something new to play.

Oh, I forgot something. Amazon has a halfway decent selection of direct download games as well. Their little download app is non-invasive.

hrkgaming.com is where I get most of my games, and all of my windows 10 keys I have needed, or friends have needed so far.

Can you tell us why?

Well supposedly they are grey market keys which is why they are so cheap. Not necessarily illegal but they acquire the licenses through means other than how steam and others work and the devs don’t get paid for it. Personally I don’t care because so many devs and publishers feel it’s ok to sell you a $60 game and ask you to further pay $30 for dlc so buying the whole thing for way cheaper is beneficial for me. Not to mention companies who use pay to win schemes, loot boxes, and other forms of micro transactions in their games and I have no qualms about buying the game cheap from a site like this. I’d gladly support a developer who isn’t tied to greedy corporate entities who are a cancer on gaming but I’ll be damned if I’m willing to pay $100 for a game to get the complete edition only to be asked to buy loot crates or other such nonsense.

You got the cause wrong, though you're more or less spot-on for the effect. Many of the keys sold through these services are stolen or purchased with stolen credit cards (as a means of money laundering). So you're paying a middle-man to steal a game for you to play, while you pay the developers nothing. That is actually worse than piracy, because in the latter case at least no one is making any money off of the crime.
