me and the so are going to Europe...and we are taking the ginormous Airbus A330-300.

It is exactly 90 days before we leave, so I can choose the seats before they are too packed. I was thinking the two back left seats near the wall...so we dont have the wings in our way when we look out the window and such.

Or should we be more towards the middle?! thoughts?

here is a good standard layout...I have us in the 46 section right now.

I prefer window seats for long flights. I can prop my coat against the window/wall and sleep without getting a sore neck. Plus I can be the jerk getting up and inconveniencing others.

Oh man definitely stay away from the back! Its the most turbulent in the back of the plane. Dont worry about the wings blocking your "view." Once you takeoff and get to cruising altitude, you wont see anything but white or black for 6 hours... And it will look like you arent moving.

Get seats closest to the middle and preferably a window, so you can lean up against the wall and sleep.

Oh, and when did the A330 become "ginormous?" Unless you are comparing to planes reserved for domestic short flights, the A330 is a normal size for international travel. The 747-400 is bigger..

A330 is a 2-4-2 layout at its widest point.

747-400 is 3-5-3 layout!! Huge!

Just wait for the A380, now THATS ginormous!

I have never been on an A330 so it's huge to me!

You should be able to make the change yourself online. All you need is the 6 character confirmation number. nwa.com

Just called, and if we wanted to be in the front we had to be worldperks elite members, I have worldperks...just not elite.

That would be the only way we could sit next to eachother...unless we wanted to sit in the middle aisle, but that doesn't sound like fun.

yes, but you have to be elite world perks members to be in certain seats , so that leaves us in the middle aisle if we wanted to stay next to eachother.

On my trip to Madrid I sat in 29A. It was awesome for leg room. there is literally nothing in front of you. I am 6'2" and I could stretch my legs all the way out in front of me and lean on the window to sleep. It was right behind the wing so I could see all the stuff that was going on during takeoff and landing. I liked watching the flaps move and stuff. The only bad part was the proximity to the bathroom. There were people waiting in line in the aisle but it wasn't too bad.

No matter what plane, airline, or route that you're on, always sit in front of the wings. It's quiter in front of the engines or away from the middle engine if you're on one of those planes.
