I expect much better off. But I wonder how that event would have impacted on the legacy of colonization?

It's not cheap bringing a little civilization to the dark folks, especially when they want to revolt. Colonization was no longer economically feasible after the 20th century, they tried though.

What exactly are you asking? What if Hitler had never lived/taken power? What if we had ignored him? There are too many variables in there to simply say "what if it hadn't happened."

My grandfather was in the British army in Burma and returned home to join the Indian one.

I guess they would have left us have our own corner of the world while they conquered the rest.......

Just like the USSR doing it to you.

America took this cycle on next to the Middle East.

If Hitler ceased to exist, WW2 would still have happened. Command and Conquer: RA is proof of that. :)

I think Stalin had a plan to conquer the world too. As did Mao.
