Where would the west have been without world war 2?

It's not cheap bringing a little civilization to the dark folks, especially when they want to revolt. Colonization was no longer economically feasible after the 20th century, they tried though.

What exactly are you asking? What if Hitler had never lived/taken power? What if we had ignored him? There are too many variables in there to simply say "what if it hadn't happened."

If Hitler ceased to exist, WW2 would still have happened. Command and Conquer: RA is proof of that.
