Well I am about to graduate college with a comp sci degree. I am very interested in working with movies. I know that in movies there are programs that are written for the special effects and a bunch of other computer related stuff. Whether it is making software to duplicate computer generated images so that they are the replicates moving in all different ways, or whether it is just doing something little on the computer ... I would just like to work with movies at some point in my career.

I am just wondering as to where I should start looking when trying to find a computer related job in this field, any suggestions?

not all movie effects and stuff are done in hollywood, there are computer graphics and effects companies all over. so it's not definitely necessary to be in hollywood. and also, this is a serious post so please serious responses :)

My post was serious. Contact them. Tell them of your interest. Ask them your question.

A dollar to a dog biscuit says you get more help from asking the Pro's than you will from asking a bunch of ATOT Uber-nerds.

To even get looked at over at big studio's like ILM, you already need to have a pretty impressive portfolio.

Yes.... I was suggesting it.
Apparently it was mentioned before, and you thought I was asking about it, correct? :)
