I need to print out a few thousand color 3.66 x 8.50 flyers for my company, but am not sure where to turn. I called up Print Three, but they want 25c/ea for color, that's insane. I was hoping for something 5c/ea at most. Am i doing something wrong here, or will i really have to pay this much for color flyers? BTW, the prices are in $CDN and $1USD=$1.55CDN.

It adds up, man! We're talking $250 per 1000 here. So something like 5000 would cost me a fortune.

If you don't want to pay that much, don't do full color. Do a 4 color version of whatever it is you have.

Try hitting your local yellow pages. Find out what print shops you have around there. If you check, you'll find some that can do that sorta thing and probably will charge less just to compete with Kinko's. Just explain that you've got a pretty decent volume to do. I know that Xerox often sets up print shops for custom work around the U.S.....check around.

Kinkos?

Anyways, when you asked for the first quote, was it 25 cents for one flyer of your dimensions? Or was it 75 cents for a letter sheet of three? I'm assuming you realize you can fit exactly 3 flyers on one sheet of letter paper.

It really doesn't seem like a bad price at all.

You might look for a locally owned and operated shop, sometimes they'll have better rates.

All in all $.25CDN per flyer is not a ripoff in the least.

These are 1/3 page flyers. Called Kinkos, and they want even more than Print Three. Their page is $1/sheet - in other words, 33c/flyer.
