Right now they are at historic highs (or close).

Certainly, this year, there will be ups and downs, and that is normal for any year. But in the long run do you think we are seeing a boom cycle that won't be repeated, or is this just one of many peaks?

If anyone could predict the market 30 years into the future... well they prolly wouldnt be rich because that's way to long to wait on for an investment.

baby boomers are going to retire...and shift their money from agressive/high risk to income-producing/low risk accounts. So money will come out of blue chips and into bonds and such. Meaning, they'll all start to sell en masse and the markets will plumet. But those of us looking to buy cheap might move in. But how many people our age have the money to play around in the market? Negative savings rates and all.

The DOW will be at 199411.76 at closing on may 16th 2036. I'll bet you $1 that I will be off by less than 1%.

It probably won't even be called the Dow any more.

Chances are it will end in ang or ong. :Q
