Where to turn off option where my burner loads a program when a cd is inserted?

On xp pro my burner always loads my ez cd software when I insert a blank cd. I remember accidently accepting this option a long time ago but have never been able to find where to change it at. Where is it at?

When you install Easy CD Creator, do a custom install and do not select DirectCD for install.

You may also want to not select Take Two. (It would be removed when you update with

latest version anyway)

so, just uninstall it, then re-install without Direct CD.

More direct approach:

Right click on the icon for your burner drive in My Computer
Select properties
Autoplay
Select Blank CD in drop down menu
From ther you can select the option to "take no action"🙂

Well basically that option isn't in the drop down menu. Could it be beacuse my computer doesn't think its a burner or what? Any ideas?

u could hold down shift evertime u insert CDs to turn off the autoplay/run feature. i've found the XP autoplay/run feature so annoying that i have turned it off completely. this can be done by typing "gpedit.msc" (without the quotation marks). then the group policy editor will start. select "adminstrative templates on the left tree" and then "system" there u can enable "turn off autoplay"

Well that seems odd. Are you looking in the right place?
What DO you see in the drop down menu?
