Where to Start?

I have recently got my system new system together and am starting to look at overclocking it somewhat. When I first assembled the MB and CPU, I unlocked it and went to a 10X Mulitplier. As I have been frequenting many computer sites I have picked up several tips for tweaking the Bios and applied them to my setup, checking my Sandra HD scores, Sandra Memory Scores and Quake 3 FPS with every new change. I have not messed with the FSB at all. Tonight though However I decided it was time to give that a try.

First I bumped up the FSB/PCI Clock to 120/xxx - that was a mistake! I had to reset the BIOS as after I rebooted I had no signla to my video card.

Next I put it to 103/xxx - I was able to boot, get into windows but as soon as I into windows, ran the Sandra tests, which were improved but when I went into Quake3 I got a blue screen.

My setup is listed below.. only other thing I can think of would be that I am running the WW bios from Abit.

My Question.. Am I going about this all wrong? Should I have my BIOS at default setting before I try to overclock?

It's always a good idea to load bios defaults before trying to overclock, then start playing with the voltages to get it stable, then start playing with the other settings to get it how you want it. Your Ram should be able to handle those bus speeds easily, but you might have to downgrade the bios settings to cas 3 in oder to achieve stability. GOod luck and let us know how it goes.

I have been reading lots of stuff around the boards and have noticed that People are changing , (what I assume to be, their AGP multiplier from 2/3 to 1/4 when overclocking their FSB/PCI... Where do I find that on the Abit KT7 Raid?
