Where to scan photos/documents?

Hi,

I have always had a scanner myself, but on my website users are also allowed to upload (non digital) photos and documents. If you have a scanner this is no problem, but where can you go if you don't have one in the US and other countries?
The logical answer might seem "copy shops" but these don't always have the equipment to transfer photos/documents to CD.

BTW: I live in the Netherlands.

Thanks in advance,
Arthur

Generally, photos must be in a digital format, e.g., .JPG. Docs can also be in such a format or other such as TIFF. But, consider also .PDF format.

I would get such items scanned, then save them on portable media until I had a chance to upload them.

Blain's point is well taken.
