Where could I loan or buy at a cheap price a high speed, automatic feeder scanner?

All help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

you can get an epson with a document feeder in the ~$500 range. when my company got one that's about how much the scanner and feeder were. you could probably do a little better than that since it was also a year ago. there's no cheap $100 solution if that's what youre talking about....

out of curiousity, what is it that you plan to do? a lot of ocr or something to that effect? i remember seeing some kinko's with scanners and adf's. their prices for workstation rental is kinda high ($18.00/hr) but lets say this is the only time you're gonna use it, it still beats buying one

We will be scanning repair manuals and TSB's.

Edit: By the way, thanks for the suggestion! I'm looking into it now.

I suggest getting the Epson 1680 Pro Firewire and then also get an Automatic document feeder.

Where I work at, I have both of these items and have scanned over 30,000 sheets of patient records. It's a very big task and you also have someone sitting there a lot of the time since the document feeder only holds ~50 pages.
