Where do you guys usually purchase a treadmill? Any good brands or deals? What to look for?

Thanks.

That money is better spent on a new couch, since ultimately that's where you'll end up anyway. *I'm evil*!

We got a returned Nordic Trac model from Sears a couple years ago (they automatically mark the returns down 50% so instead of $1000 we got it for $500.) Just be forewarned, a lot of them are returned by people after Christmas that were too lazy to use them. But some might be lemons. A "real" good quality treadmill will cost you upwards of $2,000. I don't know about you, but that's a bit too steep for me.

Ours actually ran very well for a year and that was with my wife walking on it daily and myself occasionally jogging on it. Then one of the circuit boards on it died. No problem, we just called Nordic Track using our warranty (the Nordic Track warranties were WAY longer than the ProForm models Sears carries which is why we opted for it). It ran ok for awhile, but then we finally burned out the motor. Got that replaced under the warrant too and it ran ok again for awhile. But now it's not working and after sending us every part under the sun they don't know what's wrong with it. I'm taking it in to Sears this weekend and letting them fix it since I'm tired of dealing with it and we'll want it up and running again once the weather starts getting too cold.
