Gotta pre-order Wii fit for Mother's day (yes she wants it, even though I want it too 🙂 )

Can't find a decent place to to pre-order it, it's out of stock at a lot of places already. None of the hot deal forums have any good info. Hard to find a no tax free-shipping deal. I might settle for retail though, though it'll be like $110 after tax, which would be a pain in the ass. Also is there any place where I can just order the balance board only? Thanks.
 
What good is the balance board going to do without any software to run it?

Amazon sold out long ago, I fear this may be difficult to find in stores for a while.

LOL at you guys getting so bent out of shape about it...I'm not condoning or endorsing the concept, but you are all taking it a little to personally.

I think Nintendo is doing alright with the selling of things....that could just be me though.
 
Im not condoning it or endorsing it. Im just doing it myself. Nintendo is making too much money anyway. Why should they come up with neat innovative stuff, they should put out loads of crap, then no one would care if it was pirated.
 
Still had 2 pre-order tickets at best buy so I got it there (didn't have much choice since Mother's day is tomorrow), but there is a $10 off coupon i'll be able to use when I pick it up. So, not getting totally shafted. Will probably still be over $100 though. Bleh, pirating is so much nicer 😛

Yeah people get bent out of shape when it comes to pirating, like it's coming out of their pockets. But let's not have another big pirating discussion, just let this thread go away.
 
Actually, the question about selling the balance board separately is a good one. Ignoring the fact that the OP plans to pirate the game, I'd imagine that at some point there are going to be multiplayer games using the balance board. So will the board be sold separately at a reduced price?
 
The balance board is probably most of the cost anyways. I see it more of like a Wii Play type package, so if you separate the board and pirate the game, you're probably only saving yourself like $10- which isn't really that much.

it probably will be given time. I know there is going to be a skii game and a raving rabbits game that uses the wii board.

Yeah, unfortunately it will get expensive to have 4 separate Wiimotes/nunchuks, Wii wheels and balance boards. And then there are 3rd party accessories - wireless nunchuks, Nyko Perfect Shot and wireless IR sensor bar.

My wife is very excited for this game, and she works out at least an hour a day at the gym (she works there also).
