where to play dugeon siege online?

I noticed that not many people play dungeon siege online, I only see around 36 players max on the zone. Is the zone the main place to play dugeon siege online or is there another place that has more players? It seems like a good game with many positive reviews and player feedback but it seems odd that there's so little playing online. I just ordered this game and plan to play online once it arrives, what are good places to play this besides the zone?

if you have a friend who likes to play or know someone that can host a game, just connect thru their IP addy... Many ppl i know that play DS, make their own games and connect directly, not thru the MS zone

if most people just play with their friends, i'm guessing the trading system isn't as fun as diablo 2 since we only trade between friends and don't have much of an option to see what others around the U.S. found right?

Hey, just a question. I have a slow cpu but a geforce 3, and I've been playing 1024x768 with FSAA on. I get about 20fps in the dungeons (team of six) but outside, I often only get about 8-10FPS. Strangely, it seems a lot smoother than that. Is the built in FPS counter correct?

Decreasing the Rez doesn't get me more than 5-6 more FPS, so there's really no point.

I have a P3 900, 512 RAM and a Gainward GF3. I get about 20-30fps in single player mode with everything in video/sound maxed out so your 20fps seems about right if you have less mem, a slow cpu or if your soundcard isn't taking much load off the cpu, my full version has arrived yet, so I don't know if it will play different than the demo.

I noticed the zone has less players now, games like rogue spear have dropped from 2000-3000 players to a low 700 and below, AOE II players have lowered by half. I haven't been to the zone since I stopped playing rogue spear last year. The zone seem a lot less active now, are people playing dungeon siege someplace else I don't know about which is better than the zone? It just seems strange how a game with such high praises and good remarks have so little online players.

Actually, you only show up on the zone if you launch the multiplayer game from the website. You can just pick Multiplayer within the game and it takes you to the same place without going through the zone. The multiplayer matching site is an in-game environment. There's lots of people playing all the time. Play the single player a while before trying the multi. You'll understand it better and will enjoy it more. I finished the single player first and I must say its well worth the $40 I gave for it. The multiplayer is much more massive and I'd venture to say you could play it more than you'd want to and still see new stuff all the time. Enjoy and see ya in the game.

I have an Athlon xp2000 768mb and a geforce 4 ti4200 and I get around 20-40 fps minimum everything on at 1024x768.

When I play online, I usually just fire up ZoneMatch. There are usually 100's of players either in rooms or in games.

just got my game today, gonna strengthen up my character and import to multiplayer. hope i don't get bored soon.
