Where to mount my front 120mm fan?

I'm just about ready to do my case mod. I just don't know where to mount the fan. It's a 120mm Panaflo fan. I'm not sure whether to mount it directly on the plastic bezel, or on the metal panel behind the plastic bezel.

Be more specific, I don't quite understand what you mean.

I'm trying to decide whether to mount the fan directly on the plastic bezel exterior on the front of the case, or the metal plate that the plastic bezel covers.

got it... it'll be a little harder to line everything up. Next time, I won't be so cheap and buy a new case instead of going around cutting holes in my case. I guess that's part of fun or something.
