Where to meet girls other than bars?

I'm stumped. Trying to find somebody that isn't a lush, has a kid, or just a loose woman.

Being 22 myself and stuck at a community college... women around here just don't meet my simple requirements.

Suggestions?

Join a improv acting/comedy group in your area, take a pottery class. There are tons of ways.

Join a club at your community college. Any club will do, so you might as well pick one you are interested in. Any sort of Gay Straight Aliance is probably a bad idea for picking up women though.

Through other friends works best. But you gotta be vocal - a friend recently said, after I told her that a friend of her's was cute, "why didn't you tell me sooner? We should all hang out!" If you have female friends mention that you'd like to meet their friends

I'll have an internship this summer running inter mural leagues. Maybe I'll scour the leagues, go to starbucks after work. Hit the gym and on sundays go to lutheran churches.

Firstly - what's your thing? Why are you attractive? Me, I'm fat and bald but I'm witty, very witty. So I go to places where my wit can be HEARD. If you're attractive, loud bars work. If you rely on your smarts and words, then pick quiet venues. Video stores, music stores, book stores, poetry readings, coffee shops.

If you thing is taht you're a great dancer, go to a dance hall. If your thing is that you're loaded, go to an expensive lounge and buy drinks for everyone, not just the girl you're into.

Group theory - we can go into this for hours but, to enter into a conversation with a group, talk to the guy of the group or the least attractive female, ignoring the female you're into. Let her earn your attention. Be witty, nice, charming to her friends and then slowly allow her in. Seriously works well, that's why I have no problem meeting girls. My problem is not screwing it up.

Also, do you live in a big city? THe laundromat is PERFECT for meeting girls. People sitting around, bored, waiting for their laundry.. I once had a friend wing with me - we played scrabble while doing our laundry and the girls found it really charming.
