I already know that AT is the place to find general hardware advice, but where do you go for information on notebook computers without all the BS associated with zdnet and other mainstream, Dell-funded publications?
My actual hardware question is in regards to Acer notebooks. I have an opportunity to buy their 521TXV (P3-600, 14.1 TFT, 6X DVD, 64MB, 56K & 10/100NIC, touch pad) for a good price, but am concerned about the ALi chipset it is based on. Of course, finding out which chipset is used by other notebooks is almost impossible anyways, so I'm not even sure if it matters.
Any help with either question will be much appreciated.
Regards,
Craig
