Where to look for donor drives?

I just received an email from a data recovery company basically saying that the reading heads have failed inside the hard drive, and in order to replace the reading heads inside the drive they have to locate an identical hard drive to mine.

Sadly they have been unable to locate the matching model and drive revisions required for a suitable donor. Without the suitable donor drive they are unable to attempt to recover the data.

I have searched online everywhere and couldn't find it. I want to post an ad instead and hopefully someone might have it and sell it to me.

Where would be a good place to post an ad like that?
 
The FS section here? Or even right here, assuming you provide us with ANY sort of context into what youre trying to get.
 
I'm looking for a specific internal Seagate hard (not parts) drive. I've found a couple online, but it then turned out some websites were fake, while others advertised it when in fact it's already discontinued and they simply neglected to update their website. the hdd was either disc.

I've tried Amazon and eBay too, but alas.

I thought posting an ad would be a better idea, but I don't know where would be a good place for that.

Post in the FS/T section as a WTB (Want to Buy) item

List the drive with the exact model number you need. You may be surprised at what some of the anandtechers have laying around.
 
Not off the top of my head but maybe some other posters will have suggestions.

You currently are posting this question in a venue where nearly every person with internet access can see it, and you still havent bothered to post the exact model drive youre looking for?

I guess try craigslist or the FS section here, maybe a seagate forum?
