Where to learn Linux

Where's a good site to learn the basics of linux?

I'd like to find somewhere that will walk me through a lot of command-line stuff with examples and the like.

I'm a linux-idiot and would like to upgrade that status so I can do something useful with the OS.

First, congratulations.

You made the right choice and you have the right attitude.

Let me guide you to what I believe are the best Linux tutorial collections.

First you need to read The New Linux Myth Dispeller before you begin reading anything else. This document will clear up any doubts you may have about Linux, correct your false preconceived notions, and in general give you a good idea about the current state of Linux.

Then we get to the technical stuff.

Thank you, lucidguy. I was looking for just that type of information -- I'm planning on dualbooting Windows2k and Mandrake8 in the next few days and I need somewhere to start. I've been reading around on LDP for a few weeks, some of the guides are very, very informative. 🙂
