Where to learn about cars...

Ok...I know nothing about cars... All my friends are always talking about different kinds of shocks and engines and turbos and stuff..and I have no idea what they are talking about. I mean... I know what they are...but they are always saying like "This one has a 448 XL 57 mod which adds to the yadda yadda" and all which I have no idea..... so where does everybody learn about this stuff? Any sites I can go that will explain it to me? thanks

being able to say that "the corvette Z06 has a 350 pushing out 400hp and that it's got whatever heads, and whatever cam, and 13" brakes or whatever, compared to the dodge viper's 500hp v10, etc... blah blah blah" will make you a fantastic magazine racer.

If you actually want to learn about cars, open up the hood and fix/upgrade something yourself. "there's no teacher like experience".

It kinda makes me feel guilty because my dad has been an auto mechanic all his life, and used to race back in his earlier days. I never took the time to learn how to do any of that stuff...I have always been more into computers.... maybe one of these days...........
