Alright, I'd like the opinions of all wise AT users as to where I (and my sig other) should honeymoon. I'd like to stay under $1500 USD. Any suggestions?

Mexico!

you can get some outrageously good deals - all inclusive
lots of mayan ruins, aquatic stuff to see
beautiful

Cancun off season is amazing (don't go when it's crawling with college kiddies

by the way
when you getting married (or rather when are you honeymooning?) this will have an impact on your choices

Banff, Canada is another neat spot.

get your passports now by the way (takes a while to process them)

I would say Hawaii because that's where my wife and I had our honeymoon, but since you want to keep it under $1500, I'd stay on the east coast since your profile says you're in PA.
But if you have the money, (it's really the plane ride across the US and then to HI that's expensive) I would go to Hawaii in a heartbeat! We're going back next year to both the Big Island and Maui. We bought a timeshare in the Big Island while we were there this year so that's why we're going back.

Depends on how much you have traveled. My fiance has never been to Florida, so that's where we are going. Try to pick somewhere you have never been and most likely wont go again for a long time

Cancun, Mexico was a lot of fun, and it's in your price range (the package that we got was, anyway). Beautiful blue water, nice coral reefs, nice beaches, ruines and other places to visit, etc. etc. I wanna go back!!!!!

If that's your total budget Hawaii (while I'm sure it's awesome since I've done marketing work for quite a few resorts and hotels out there) is almost definitely out. MUCH too expensive to go there. A cruise or even a trip to the Bahamas/Caribbean/Mexico would be much cheaper and still very cool.

If THOSE are too expensive and you need to stay on the mainland, but want a beach setting, I'd then probably say something like Hilton Head, SC or maybe Destin, FL.

I think we'll prob stay in the country, mainly because of finances. Yes, $1500 is the most I'd like to spend combined and she's quite ok with staying in the country... thanks for all your suggestions!

Hawaii is actually quite reasonable right now and you are keeping your $$s in America,

Hawaii is still in a recession and the hotels are actually competing for your dollars (unlike a few years ago). Car rentals are a bit high (around $220-250 per week for compact although there is one really budget one for $175 weekly).

If you love the beach, Hawaii is awesome. Check the "packages" offered online.
