It might be tough to find things at kohls that aren't large, extra large or xxl. Same for old navy, their smalls are like most places xl's. Even express is getting big with the sizing.

I'm not sure what stores fit well for women, just going by what my GF says. Unfortunately I assume the stores for smaller/slimmer women would be more and more expensive.

GL on the interviews.

So I have an interview with some recruiters group in a week that I want to at least look semi-decent for, but I don't have any business casual clothes. I'm kind of hoping to just get some off the rack somewhere if possible, but don't know where to look. Kind of looking for something semi-cheap

Any suggestions womens business casual in the medium/small range?

Not my area of expertise. But, if I had to, I would look at:
Ann Taylor
J Crew
Express
Gap

Best of luck,
Uno

Beautiful pic. :)

Give Dress Barn a try as well. They are decently priced and have a pretty good selection.

What kind of jobs? Do you have a decent plan what to wear?

Oops I just noticed the picture you obviously know how to clean up. Don't wear that to an interview

Yea, I was aware that isn't business casual : p It'd be for software development (likely web applications with c# maybe java)

I've been to the Air Force getting ready for a real job class and still have the info for it so I'll probably look over that before I actually go to buy clothes.

Although, to be honest, I'm thinking about canceling since I have a ton of health problems and it might be silly for me to even be thinking about this.

Just about all the shops mentioned should have something you can wear. Of course when it comes to women's clothing there are many fit types. Petite, Average, Tall, Junior, Misses, Womens, Low Rise, Mid Rise (for trousers), Slim or Regular types of legs (for trousers), Skirts can be had either loose fit or snug. So first decide on a style and color, then you need to try them on in the size you think you need.

You shouldn't cancel. Remember in the corporate world you work at your terms. So, go to the interview and if you don't like what they offer you can always say no. But not even going loses you the opportunity that they might have exactly what is right for you.

where in MD are you located? the company i work for is up in columbia (i live in rockville) and we're always looking for good developers. and tbh, your military background would probably be a plus with this company as well.

It's easy to say that; it's another thing to go through the enormous strain of extra pain and migraines it'll likely put on me actually doing the job and then the extra depression if I fail the project/people because of it. At the same time, it's very tempting to be able to work again/be useful. I do appreciate the sentiment and agree with it; just trying to express why I might not go.

I'm just outside of downtown Silver Spring right now. I used to live in Columbia; I like it a lot up there ^.^

Kohl's. Well actually it's much better, if you're patient to wait for shipments, to go to where that white rapper sings about, the Goodwill store which probably got mentioned already.

where just outside of silver spring? just curious because i grew up right around there and my mom lives near there still, right near the 495 exit on georgia ave.

if you are interested and have a resume, i could pass it along. it's also a reverse commute to columbia from there as i know, because i worked in columbia (at another company) when i was living at my moms house after graduation from college.

Like 3/4s of a mile east of the Silver Spring Metro?

I understand how hard it can be. I am just trying to be supportive. I'm trying to remind you that there are places that are still run by good people that will treat you with compassion. This might not be one, but you will never know if you don't try.
I know that it is so easy to just give up. But doing so will never make things better.

Lookin' good! That said, definitely go to the interview and check it out. Don't be so afraid of failure that you stop trying.
