Hey all,

Anyone know a good place to get replacement headlight enclosures? I may not be using the exact term, but I don't need just the bulb I want to replace the entire plastic enclosure itself. Like many others it has succumbed to fogging over and the lights are dim as sh!t.

I know I can try to clean them, I've already got the plastic polisher stuff, but I don't think I'll be able to clean the INSIDE of the headlight lens itself. If anyone has any tips on how to clean the inside, those would be appreciated as well.

I checked Adv Auto and they wanted $288 EACH.

I don't care much about quality as long as it is crystal clear. I would also be interested in any kind of "high intensity" or whatever replacement kits that replace the entire thing.

I JUST WANT SOME REASONABLY BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS DAMNIT

TIA

UPDATE

I found this website:

http://www.carpartswholesale.com/store/...=10&year=1997&make=SUBARU&model=LEGACY

$137 a piece, looks like the right ones. Good price or bad? Suggestions for other places?

Its okay ;) Its the wagon, which is nice for the space. 200K miles with a rebuilt engine (~20K miles on that). There's a little more body roll than I would like (probly due to age), but I'm considering re-doing the shocks/springs at some point :)

fogging as on the plastic? use a plastic polish on them and they will look new.

I have some (somewhere), but I'm not sure I can get access to the inside of the headlight enclosure. We'll see this Sunday :)
