Where to get prepaid credit card

Leros

I need to make an online purchase of around $300. However, I do not have a credit card or debit card and do not want to get one. Is there such as thing as a prepaid credit card? and where can I get one.

It makes sense that such an item would exist. But where can I get it?

VISA Gift Card. American Express has them too I believe.

Bank of America used to do these, but they stopped servicing individuals. But other banks do, and you can just bring in three Ben Franklin's (or whatever) and get yourself one of these bad boys. U.S. Bank seems to do them at every branch.

You could also ask a friend like my roomate used to do. Just bring the cash with you and do the purchase together. Avoids any hassles down the road. G'luck.

A number of pharmacies (Rite-Aid, Walgreens, CVS, etc) carry prepaid credit cards. Not an inexpensive solution, however. The gift card would be a better choice.

Can also use PayPal (via use of a virtual debit card), if you make use of such.
