Check out some local mom and pop Computer stores, but be prepared to pay more $$$s than the mobos are worth. Typical $75 minimum, plus hourly rate.

Unless motherboards are still under warranty, they can be considered to be a counsumable(throw away) item. The labor costs of repair compared to replacement cost makes the idea of repair uneconomical. As a result of large scale integration there are no longer any plugin replaceable parts other than BIOS chips and even they are sometimes soldered in as well. Replacing LSI chips is entirely out of the question even if you could find a replacement somewhere. Over the years I have accumulated enough nonworking motherboards to wallpaper a small room and fewer than 1 in 10 were even worthy of consideration of repair attempts.

I can't think of any motherboard that really is economically repairable (where the cost of repair exceeds the replacement cost.)

I have a K7V that only needs a new BIOS chip . . . but that is $75 . . . not worth it.. It makes a good training aid in the classroom. :)

Corky, badflash.com sells new chips for $10 and they'll flash it for another $10 I believe + $5 shipping.
