Where to get liner material to finish edges of fan holes and also insulate fan vibration from case???? :)

First, wtf is rubber modding for if you have a grill to keep those fingers away. It wouldn't damp any sound since it's not sucking up any vibrations. They are probably using it to cover up the rough cut. Second, home depot doesn't have that kind of molding, many people here have already tried looking there. The best place is bestbyte. 45 cents per foot.

If you want to dampen vibration from the case fan onto the case, usually use little rubber washers or "Gromets". Can use rubber or rubber-foam strips I suppose though should be pretty thin and have to ensure the fan is securely screwed... Dont expect any major noise reduction though, just takes the edge off the vibration of the fan unit, nothing more.

ah, doh. well yes i'm using grills, but i figure every little bit helps, plus it gives it a nice finish without painting or a lot of sanding.

probably will either use a little thin weather stripping or washer things for mount dampening:)
