Where to get isopropyl alcohol?

Hi, i need to clean the pink gum off my HSF and wipe the smudges on my duron cpu ... someone suggested that i use isopropyl alcohol. Is this something i can pick up at the local CVS? What products are out there that contain this? Thanks.

I just went to Osco and they had a bottle of it next to the bandaids

I would use the alcohol to clean the surface after you've already removed the thermal pad. I used vegetable oil and a paper towel, then cleaned it with the alcohol.

Other guys say they use WD-40 but I haven't tried that one yet.

Rubbing Alcohol (or isopropanol or isopropyl alcohol) is usually sold by itself to clean and sterilize an area. Note that they also sell ethanol (or ethyl alcohol or "grain alcohol&quot as well. That'll probably work as well...
