Where to get a larger hard drive bay?

Hi, my hard drive rack only holds 2 hard drives + 1 floppy, but there's a lot of space underneath it, so I was wondering if there's anywhere I can buy a larger one. I tried searching, but I don't exactly know the name of the part I'm looking for and the search always turns up mobile racks instead.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have never seen one sold in a store, but that doesnt mean that no one sells them. Your options might be to contact your case manufacturer to see if you purchase on directly, post in the For Sale thread to see if anyone has one from a gutted case they might be willing to sell, or make one yourself. I have heard about people making them out of PCI slot covers. You could then epoxy or weld them together. Or you could buy metal at a hardware store and just make your own.

You might be able to bolt this to the floor of your case to get a couple more HDD positions. It might not look too elegant, though.

The CompUSAs around me sell these stamped steel plates that you can bolt on to your existing drive bays to extend them down so you can mount more drives. They're in the case-mods section in the CompUSAs around here.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up just taking something out of an old case and bolting it to the bottom of my case. I might have hung it down from the other hard drive racks but then it would be near the internal speaker magnet. Do magnets corrupt hard disks or is that only floppies?

Yup they sure do, not sure on how powerful they need to be to corrupt your data. I personally wouldn't want to test that out !
