I'm 17 and am in highschool but never had a real job yet.
Where would you guys suggest to start looking? I like computers and stuff and I am currently taking a course in AutoCad so should I look for a job that is computer related or just get one at McDonalds or a local store or something?

Also, since I have had no other jobs, do I need a resume or anything like that? If so, do I turn in the resume with the application or what?

are you going to college? are you junior or senior? if i were you, i would focus on learning as much about computers as possible, then getting a job when you're in college... an easy one is tech support for your school.

I'll be going to college unless I land a really good job which I doubt I will.
I am a junior in HS. But I want a job now just to get some experience and have some extra cash to spend on my car :)

I was never able to get a tech job until I worked a few crappy jobs. I worked at a grocery store when I was 17 for near minimum wage with full time hours. It sucked to work that much and only bring home like 200 bux :(

I also figured that :)
But I know I can get a job for at least $6.50 to $7.00 an hour.
Even McDonalds is hiring 16y/os at 6.50 with a raise in either 60 or 90 days.

But I vowed never to become a burger flipper :D
