My girlfriend is on the search for the highly elusive 4.5kg Toblerone. She can't seem to find it, so I'm trying to surprise her with one. I've seen it on Ebay but haven't seen it listed there lately. Anyone know of any sources in the US or Canada that sells it? I "need" one! :D

Contact a candy distributor. Try asking your local convenience store where they get their candy.

Is that about the size of an alternator?

Hahah...yep. Bulk Toblerone!

I did check last time I was flying out of Vancouver, but I only saw the small bars for sale at the duty free. No plans to fly yet in the near future so I'm out of luck for the duty free stores.

They are not hard to find down where I live...

...but I doubt you'll want to fly down to Mexico City just to buy Toblerone :p :D

Oooh...Noema...I might be tempted to get you to buy it for me and mail it to me if you're willing :D

Starting to get desperate for one...and got some money in Paypal that's itching to be used :)

I don't know if you guys have either Trader Joe's or Cost Plus World Market up there, but you might try those stores. They both (around here) carry the small versions and all other sorts of imported candies. Also, our local grocery chain Jewel (Albertson's) has a section dedicated to imported sweets.

That's a big bar. I was able to get a foot long one at Target but I've never seen a 3ft one.

Saw those in a few shops when I lived in Geneva.
They are sold in a cardboard carrying case w/ shoulder strap for improved portability! :)

Have yet to see one in North America yet though.

I've seen UK online stores sell it, but I'm not sure they sell that anywhere here in the U.S.

What does it say about me that the first thing I thought upon seeing that pic is how amusing I find the thought of buying one so that I can use it to smack kids in the head?

hahaha....good idea! Well, at least the emtpy box would be good for that. :) I dont't think it's that easy to swing a 10lb chocolate bar at a kid. :)

Well, apparently it's seasonal, and only available during Christmas according to the distributor I contacted. However, if someone can find the huge bar, let me know! I'm willing to send you the money and some $$ for your troubles (say, $20? :) )
