Where to get 20 pack GigaBit NIC's?

As part of the network upgrade, we're getting some GigabitE NIC's. Does anyone know where I can get them w/ bulk rate?

One of the few places I found is CDW, which sells DLinks for $25 and 3com for $45 each.
Is that a good price? I haven't paid attention to NICs for a while since they all come integrated nowadays.

The Zonet NIC that sells for $15 each...looks ok, but I'm a little hesitant on that. It sounds too good to be true; also the item cannot be returned. What am I gonna do w/ 20 NIC's if they don't work right??

The Intel NIC at NewEgg seems decent; the only problem I have w/ NewEgg is they accumulate shipping charges. Shipping is $2 each and since I'm getting 20 of them, I'll be charged $40. Kinda ridiculous in my opinion..

Thanks for the replies though; very useful information 🙂

call the order in, you can often can get the sales rep to come down on shipping for large orders.

Odd, I've never had them do that to me. I ordered 7 different items from them a few weeks ago. Each of the items had individual shipping charges listed ranging from $.99 to $3.99, but the total shipping for my entire order was only $6.50...

Personally, I think Zonet is fine for SOHO/home use, but I would never use them in a corporate environment. The price is definitely right, but they just don't meet the standards for reliability that I require in a business setting.

New egg has also this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a...MP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=Networking+Cards

However as Fardringle argue it depends on the environment.

If it is relatively small business with few good hands-on people. I would take the risk on a None top brand.

If it a Medical center (like the one that I use to run) where there hundreds of users and one hand does not know what the other is doing you must insert the Most Solid hardware since any need for maintenance is a Big problem.
