I am trying to find a local place here in Tempe/Phoenix that would sell an M6-thread bolt that is 3 inches in length.. I've already been to Home Depot and they didn't really have anything close to it..

Is there another local store I should try? This is for getting a flywheel off of a 2 stroke motor.

Tons of industrial supply stores. Fastenal's one of them.

Pro tip: An M6 bolt won't come in a 3" length, but it might come in 75 mm.

Also, your sig sucks.

There is a monoprice-like website for this kind of stuff. I recall it being mentioned on ATOT before.

If this isn't something you need over the 3 day weekend, there are undoubtedly specialty fastener shops there as well.

What you seek doesn't sound that unusual, but the thread pitch and threads per inch (mm, whatever) may pose a problem. If it's just a run-of-the-mill 6mm bolt, they should be EASY to find.

Thanks for all the replies.. I would like to get it over the weekend, simply to keep me busy with something. I will check with Tempe hardware and Fastenals.

Yeah I've ordered a few things from mcmaster carr. I was looking for something in-town so I could get it this weekend.. Sucks because it looks like fastenal is only mon-fri.
