Where to find images/sounds for making a game?

Hey I am trying to make a small arcade style game as an exercise to learn C++, and my biggest problem is finding images to use for grahpics and sound files. Where can I find free libraries of such files. I need military style top-down images, tanks, planes, soldiers etc. I'm not too artistic so I don't think I can make these. Thanks for any advice.
 
Well I guess I should clarify. I am already very profecient with C++, I just have never made a real time game before. I am doing this to improve my knowledge of C++ and have some fun.
