Sorry OP, no help here, I just thought it was funny b/c I'm flying out to Chicago for my sister's birthday this weekend (19th). When is your GF's birthday?

I don't go downtown much, but Costa's in Greektown is really really good if you like Greek food ... and close to the loop .....

Otherwise you could hit up a Chicago Pizza joint, and get some Chicago dogs, maybe visit Mr Submarine, and check out a Portillo's for "authentic" Chicago style foods .... Also, be sure to enjoy some Goose Island 312 urban wheat ale while in the city.

my choice would be steak lol, but depends on her mood so prolly would like a few good ideas to choose from. and I dunno if I could get out for 20-30 a plate + drinks I would be happy but I'm a cheap bastard I guess lol
