Where to find glass for project

I was hoping to find scrap glass, but if I have to buy it that's ok. I'm looking for sheets of colored glass and glue to glue glass pieces together, but I have no idea where to start. The local arts store's sales rep had no idea. Internet vendor? Or what kind of local store would I start at? The glass companies that do houses?

Would the rounded stuff they put in fish tanks work or do you need straight edges?

Do they sell stained glass kits or something at craft stores? It's probably even got a soldering iron for the lead 'rails'.

what are you trying to do? and glass is not usually held together with glue, the stuff in a fish tank is silicone caulk i think. it seals it more than it sticks it.
