a pic of my setup

My HT setup is starting to be overwhelming for my little bedroom, sitting on top of my older TV. I plan to get a new TV, but currently, my setup is fine as far as components. I have a DVD player, CD-i player, Receiver, and a VCR. Right now, my receiver is nearly falling off of my TV, which is currently sitting on a computer desk tightly squished in between a bookshelf speaker. On top of the desk sits a hutch, which holds my two Epson printers.

Sooo...where is a good source to get a nice rack/stand for my AV stuff? I might consider getting rid of my desk (that everything is sitting on) in lieu of an alternative solution.

And my Soundblaster live! gamer (non-5.1) question: Why doesn't my line-out work? When i hook up a stereo-to-RCA cable to the line out and to my receiver, i get nothing, but when i hook the cable to my speaker-out, it works fine? It also works when i hook it up to the digital out line, but the volume seems to be cut in half. Any ideas? I've tried plugging the cable into ALL of the stereo jacks on the back of the card. I also tried looking for an option where the line-out could possibly be muted on the sound-mixer/volume properties, but no luck.

edit: the stand is for my bedroom and will possibly transfer (maybe in four years?) if i ever get a place of my own

does the SB-Live even have a line-out plug? I thought on mine it was line-IN, Microphone, Speaker-out front, and Speaker-out rear ........

i thought it did, but now i'm not sure. I can't find the manual and the online manual isn't color-coded, but it does show a line out.

you can get audio component racks just about everywhere: circuit city, best buy, etc.

Although sometimes the problems with these are that they're not build very well as furniture, and vibrations can be heard from cheap stands when you're playing really loud, deep stuff.

picture just came up, MAN that's messy- i thought my components were bad (got no digital camera to take pic right now)

But anyways, there's a nice DIY one article here that would probably cost about $60 i'm assuming to make. Good audio racks usually go for about $200+ (i'd never spend that much on a rack), but cheap ones that probably will do you okay go for like $50-100 at furniture stores/stores listed above.

ok, the on-line PDF manual here (watch it, 102 pages ;)) refers to the green plug as "line out" saying it "connects to powered speakers or an external amplifier for audio output. Also supports headphones" on page 14.
Hope that helps, I've been trying to run mine into a receiver, also, but seem to pick up a lot of noise.
