Does anyone know of anywhere other than Creative Labs where I can get drivers for Windows XP?

I have a Sound Blaster PCI 128 and it plays sound just fine in Windows 98SE but when I install Windows XP I get only garbled sounds when I try to play any audio file. The sound is fine when I use the ATI TV tuner though.

I have tried using the latest drivers from Creative labs for Windows XP with no change. I have tried relocating my sound card to 2 other PCI slots that I have free and got absolutely no change. It still gives me garbled sounds.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The only company that writes drivers for Creative Labs sound cards is Creative Labs.

No matter where you get them, they're going to be sourced from the same place.

That's exactly what I figured but someone suggested I try another source other than Creative for them.

By the way the same thing happens when I install Windows 2K.

I just flashed the BIOS to the latest and updated Windows XP with everything there was available for it and it all made no difference. My next, and last, idea is to replace the sound card itself. I'm planning to go with a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz card and hopefully it will solve the problem.

Run msinfo32 and check hardware resources>conflicts/sharing and make sure the are no possible conflicts with the card there if there are try changing irqs or somthing also check your wiring . If that leads nowhere try uninstalling the driver then deleting it from the windows driver folder then shutdown and remove card then reboot to xp cdrom do a repair install and then once xp is reinstalled shutdown reinstall card reboot the install latest creative driver goto advance audio options make sure that digital audio out is checked(known sblive xp driver bug). And if that doesnt help it does sound like you may have a device problem maybe replacing would be good idea.
