I've been waiting for the x800GTO's to be released so I can finally finish building my budget gaming system, and now that they were released yesterday, they are nowhere to be found. Was/is this a paper launch by ATI? Anybody know when newegg or others may start to carry these cards? The wait is driving me crazy!

Thanks!

there was an X800GT released not long ago, so please don't tell me they are releasing
yet another X800 flavour.

personally i'd take a 6800nu or a 6800gt over it...just from SM3

MY OPINION, make up your own about it.

I respect your opinion, however even the x800GT seems to bench higher (than the NU) at the lower resolutions that I am running, The 6800nu also seems to be priced quite a bit higher seeing as though I need the PCI-E version.

Thanks for the post though!

Yeah...

Still, the 6800nu offers comparible performance to the x800gto...and seeing that there are some realllly good deals on the 6800nu now, i think it'd be easier for you to just get a 6800nu. You wont be disapointed at all with the performance, even in 12x10 resolution...plus, for next gen, having SM3 will benefit you, where as the x800gto does not have it.

So, once again...6800nu...around $200, cheaper with MIR...great OCer, SM3...easier to find.

Though I will look for an x800gto for you ;)
