If you want a lot of opinions go to Newegg and pull up the 19" CRT monitors and look at all the opinions. Everyone has their favorite. The samsungs does well as far as value.

And of course here:

Anandtech guides

and look at the monitors that re recommended in the midrange review

good luck

Shipping usually is 1 killer on online Monitor purchase and I usually like to see or be able to return the Monitor if it's not suitable...you might run over to Wallywords as they usually have deals on KDS Monitors which have a good Kares warranty. (3yrs)

If you are looking for used cheap you can usually find them at computer shows for under $100.
I don't know where you live so I can't tell you who runs the shows in your area.

Mom and Pop computer stores also carry used/reconditioned monitors. Sometimes they have monitors with Trinitron tubes for 100-150 in the 19" size (or atleast this was the case a few months ago in the ATL area).

never buy crts used. too delicate. they last only like 20k hours before they dim by half. refurbs sometimes to shady tweaks to boost brightness for a little while i've heard.

I'm lettin out the secret here, but check out AccurateIt. They sell refurbed monitors for real cheap, and have free shipping on several models. They have good reviews too at resellerrating (even though they only have like 15 ratings)
