I will pick it up.

side of highway. toss it in a pickup truck on a skid and drive onto the highway. pull off onto the shoulder, jump in bed, and quickly kick the skid off.

i have a friend who dumped a couple of appliances on the side of route 202 outside philly.

or put it in the yard with a sign that says free. there are people who literally drive around looking for free stuff to resell (especially in philly).

Just dump it off in a poor part of town. Now its someone else's problem.Congratulate your self and go get a beer.

why didnt you have them pick up the old one?

them = place you purchased the new one from and ppl that delivered it..

other than that, if u leave it in the front yard, ppl might just take it.

too bad you live in the bay area, if you were in dallas theres a place i saw on the news where you could dump it out of a truck and at the same time pick up a free boat. apparently people were dumping boats out in the middle of nowhere - you could see dozens of them.

just call your waste management, they will pick up for free. I just got rid of a frig that way.

Dont they charge for taking large items ? Once they charged me $20 to take an old mattress. Should've given it to the guys that brought my new one.

Yeah, if you're in the Bay Area and it still works, then you tell people what it is and tell them it works and ask some very low price for it. They take it away and you make a bit of cash.

Yea - your trash service probably charges for large stuff. Even if it doesn't work, take a quick picture and put it on ebay and say buyer responsible for pickup $5 buy it now price.

Clearly the only solution is to drop it off of your roof, onto some sort of explosive device.

Then host the video for us.

He's absolutely right. Put it in the paper for free, most won't charge you for a free ad, and someone will take it and repair/resell it. I bought one that was rebuilt, cost me $150 and works fantastic, and it's one of the oldschool giant ones 🙂
