Where to download IE6 in full?

Can I get the IE6 setup executable somewhere so I can just burn it to a CD w/out going out to the net each time?

Just start to download it like your going to install it. Microsoft first downloads the installer program. You then pick what components you want and on that installer is a tab that I believe is called advanced. It has an option for downloading the files only.

i've installed ie (5 or 6... dun remember), and after setup is done, there is a folder where all the ie cab files are stored. i burned those files onto a cd, and when i tried to run setup, i got some error saying it could not write to the source (cd). so now i just gave up on downloading and burning the ie setup files.
