??Where to dl windows media player (old version)??

by the old version i mean not the new one where it makes it look at fancy and hard to use.

i like the old one that was boxey(cant describe it better than that) and not round like the 7.0 i think


thx alot if you can find what im looking for

i fixed it thanks

i didnt uninstall version 7.0

but now it says that i need to dl the video clip what up with that?

can i dl anything so that it wont happen again?

It's doesn't matter, even if it says that it's 6.4 it still uses the v7 engine. for you to have the v6.4 engine I think you need IE5 or earlier. IE5.5 or later will install the v7 engine wether you want to or not.

there is always a media player 6.4 (boxey one) included in windows. goto start->run->type "mplayer2" without quotes and there you go. i think it is in windows\system32 dir so if you wanna make a shortcut and use that as primary media player...

You dont have to uninstall the new version of WMP. If all you like the look of the old player, just type "mplayer2" at the Run prompt.

Set your mpeg files to use mplayer2.exe as default application, and you're all set.

I hate the look of the new media player too... :D

yeah i did do it from run but everytime i want to watch a video online is ask me if i want to download it.

It never did that before.. is there something that i can download so that it wont happen anymore?
