Where to dispose of a computer monitor?

I got a Sony G400 computer monitor (that works fine) that I want to get rid of. None of my friends want it..

So.. are there any stores I can bring it to for recycling? I would rather not chuck it in the dumpster.

Drop it off a Goodwill / Goodwill Computer Store / Salvation Army Store. They'll probably give you a tax thing.

Someone will buy it ( assuming they don't know how much it's worth ($30-$50 I guess ) and price it at $5 or $10 ).
