Female friend and I went "shoe" shopping (one component of the item was shoes) and she was size 8, I'm 8. She got a 6, so I guess it's a 2 size drop.

In the Netherlands you can get even larger women's shoes as people are taller on average and have larger feet to match.
As a man I have size 13 to 13.5 (US sizes that is), and when I was younger it was almost impossible to find shoes in my size. But in recent years more and more stores carry large sizes, even up to size 16 or 17 sometimes.

If she can't find what she wants there you could try checking some European webshops to see if you can order from overseas.

You can find a huge variety in sizes and designs of shoes on Ismodo- Womens Shoes Online. Recently my fiance has purchased a pair from there and she had the same problem of size.
