Where to buy white tea?

Crono

Lifer
I've never had white tea before and would like to try it, but I don't know the best place to get some from. I would prefer to get the best kind, which I according to wikipedia is Bai Hao Yinzhen white tea.

A good white tea can be fantastic. I often mince some dried pear, peach, apricot, or sometimes even banana and blend it with my white tea. My favorite tea of all time is probably a Monkey Picked Oolong, and my favorite green is Gyokuro. Silver Needle is the most common white I believe, but you mind find it slightly disagreeable if you've never had white tea before.

I buy my teas from Teavana or Adagio Teas usually.

Adagio calls their Bai Hao "Sublime Needle." It's very good. If you PM me your e-mail address, I can send you a $5 GC.

Man, these responses are needlessly complicated.

Ten Ren teas

There, just buy that and be happy. It's the biggest name in Chinese teas (at least out on the East Coast). You can buy their stuff in every Chinese supermarket and NYC has factory stores where you can buy it loose and by the ounce. All the real Asian people I know (as in straight from China / Taiwan) consider it to be one of the best tea companies out there. Just get the $3.20 box of the bagged teas and be happy. They have the white needle expensive stuff one that you want too, if you want to spend $22.00 for 4oz that is..

I have a box of their bagged white tea in my desk at work and drink it all the time.
