Where to buy refurb laptop?

I'm in the market for a refurbished laptop. Trying to save money, looking to spend $500-$750 or so. Is there any place that you would recommend looking for refurbs?

Refurbs are available in many places. I would first look at OEM on line outlet stores. If you Google it, you will also get locally available shops. My recommendation would be to look at OEM refurbs only. They usually have decent warranties.

eBay.com

ThinkPad or Dell Latitude with pre-applied warranty, option to extend warranty, but don't expect miracles.

rant: no offense intended, but Dell techs do not work as a team, they just punch in service tickets and blindly collect hate messages from business professionals in the industry.

I like the anandtech for sale / for trade forums ... those technically are not "refurb", but, you can often get a great deal on a great laptop. That said, it's not as busy as it used to be, so you may need to shop around / wait a while before you see what you want.

everyone thinks their laptops are made of gold on the fs forums. ebay is by far the lowest price of them all. however the best deals seem to be costco atm. (im waiting another 2 months personally since amd new chips are coming soon to laptops. )

here are two headlines
:
AMD's disruption continues: 7nm 'Zen 2' mobility CPU available from Q1 2020, will bring the price of gaming laptops significantly down

The AMD 6-core Ryzen 5 7nm mobility CPU will have a 12-hour+ battery life

Agreed 2/3rds the posters in AT for sale price stuff ridiculously.

For anyone looking I have a 10 year old gtx260 never used for mining. I’m willing to sell for $180 free ship anywhere in the US

I've bought a lot of stuff through the Dell Outlet, both Home and Business, over the years. Most of it was like brand new (the only thing making it not brand new was the "RECERTIFIED" stickers on them), though in general it was usually a little older tech - one to two generations or so - behind current gen stuff. I've also purchased stuff through HP's business outlet, but you have to order via phone so it isn't as nice as Dell's.

As a last consideration, you can also pick up off lease equipment through Dell Financial Services at Dellrefurbished.com. I doubt I'd buy a laptop from them, but some of the desktop deals are great for very cheap computers that still are usable for web browsing and light use.

Neweggbusiness. Just got a 17.3" Lenovo ideapad 330 with an eight gen i5 and a gtx1050 for $560. Swapped out the spinny HD with a 4tb SSD I had laying around and swapped out the 4gb DIMM with a 16gb DIMM and this thing is pretty awesome. Yeah, I know the 4TB SSD cost 4x as much as the laptop but I had an extra. It did come with a 1TB spinny drive but I just can't go back to spin drives.
