Where to buy really thin no-see socks

I'm looking for the kind of sock that you can't see if I'm wearing shoes. And not like thick cotton athletic socks, but more just small, thin, stretchy socks to go between my feet and my shoes. Anybody?

I've got a couple pairs that are exactly like I describe, and I got them at a 2$ store in China. That's like 30c each. I'd post pictures but I'm at work.

I've looked online and in stores, at running socks and what not, but they're still not low enough.

I mean something like this: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/17931191/c/139.html but even more shallow. As in like 1-2 in shorter, so the sock JUST wraps around the heel. Nobody's seen anything like this?

I think I'm goin to do that. Except I don't have a very big Chinatown around here. Maybe I'll wait til I go to China in December. But that's a long time to be without socks.
