Staples and most other office supply stores carry packing peanuts. Try there or a local shipping place.

You don't have a Staples or something near you? Odd. I would try work then, yeah.

Geez, come by the house...I have about 3 HUGE garbage bags full of these dammed things...I don't ship nearly enough stuff to get rid of the ones I get when I buy stuff....Funny enough, the mail-center places sell them at a premium price, but expect you to give them to them if you don't want them...

If you are friendly with any business owners, they usually have tons of this stuff lying around. Have them collect it in large trashbags and give them to you. My father runs a startup company and they order everything online and he hands me about 3-4 large lawn bags worth of this stuff everytime I see him.

The stuff is expensive, BTW.

I usually try to keep the stuff when I can. I hate paying for packaging material. Plus that stuff hurts the environment.

closest office supply store is about 45 minutes away.
the closest thing i have is a wal-mart near work. at home thats about 30 minutes away. there are a few hardware stores but I doubt they would sell it.

you buy stuff, they ship it to you with peanuts around it
recycle the peanuts, plus you get new stuff!! win-win

If you need lots. Shipping peanuts is expensive - so it's only worth while if you order 5+ 20 Cubic foot bags at a time, preferably more.

uline is probably the best bet for substantial amounts of shipping supplies

I just did a google map search for office supply and called around.

Last time I purchased them in bulk they wre 14 bucks per 10 square feet. needed a couple of those to fill up a coworker's vehicle.

They cost, which I noticed at a UPS store when I was donating a boatload of packing materials I'd accumulated from my online purchases a few weeks ago.
