Where to buy NV Silencer 5 Rev 3 when it comes out?

I really can't stand the noise the fan on my Gefoce 7800GTX makes and so I am looking into replacing it. The cooling solution I am looking into is the NV Silencer 5 Rev. 3 when it becomes available on Oct. 15. What is the best places price wise for cooling solutions? This will be installed inside of a P180 case. Thanks.

Always thought Newegg.com was pretty competitive. That's where I got my silencer 5 rev 2.

Thanks. I was hoping there would be a relatively unknown place that is good for cooling solutions that I could try. Don't really buy much cooling solutions myself. Unfortunately, Newegg charges me taxes. 🙁

overall the zalman is very good unless you are looking to pipe some of the exhausted heat out of the case, in which respect the NVSilencer is better.
Newegg is where I got my rev.2 also. Seems whenever I need a cooling device, time is of the essence and when that's the case, newegg is where I go regardless of taxes. (tax on something thats ~$30 is not that bad anyways)

Thank you all. I sure can't wait until I get it. I spent alot of time and money to upgrade my system to build an awesome HTPC/Gaming PC and was quite sad when I first heard the Geforce 7800GTX fan. It is by far, the loudest component in my system although I really love the gaming experience from it 🙂

svc.com and jab-tech.com both have plenty of cooling options with excellent prices. I actually bought my Freezer64 from jab-tech, and my NV Silencer form svc. Both sites are excellent.

You'll really appreciate the silencer then.

NewEgg charges you taxes becuase you live in the state that NewEgg operates out of....

Just do a google search for NV Silencer 5 rev2 retail

****if you do a google search for the rev3,,,,,it will turn up as a dead end..becuase rev3 is not out yet..lol****.......something like that....

Then you may need to call there customer service number of the companies you choose to see where they are lacated....

That why try to stay away from companies in California.....good luck~~!!!

Frozen CPU is in New York...
Coolerguys is in Washington state...
Performance PC is in Florida
ZipZoomFly is in Califronia
EWiz is in California
Jab-Tec is in New york

To name just a few....

Personally Jab-Tec is what I use....unless I need something fast then I use all the calif companies....becuase I get things in 2-4 days...

Good Luck!!

Newegg alos charges tax to those that live in NJ and TN, so the OPmay not actually live in CA. 🙂

SVC.com is always a reasonable choice. They have an option of First Class Mail for those really lightweight items, plus their pricing is good. Also, if you get more than one item you'll save on shipping because it is a price per order, not price per item.

Another option is Amazon.com. Sometimes they are really inexpensive, plus they often offer free shipping. Drawback is that they may or may not carry what you are looking for. For instance they have the Antec SLK3000B for almost the same price as Newegg, but Newegg charges about $16 shipping while Amazon is free shipping - AND no tax. You'll end up saving well over $10. Amazon has the Thermaltake Sonic Tower for about $43 with free shipping and no tax. Newegg has it for $49 with $6 shipping. HOWEVER, Amazon's selection isn't the best.
