where to buy notebook batteries?

$140 is kind of steep....anyone know if they make 3rd part notebook batteries?

BTW, I have a gateway 600 series.

These guys will refill your battery for about $80 -- you just need to send them your old one and it needs to hold a little bit of charge still (at least 1-2 minutes):

If your model number isnt there you just need to specify voltage / mAH. I think that Gateway is 11.v / 6000mAh, but you need to check the battery specs.

I think I'll try it this month. Thanks

Can you post back your experience with them if you do? I haven't used them yet but when my laptop battery starts dieing in a year or so I don't think there will be replacements around...
